Peasant and his Home

Peasant and his Home
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Harmony with land and woods around
In comfy he sits on a bamboo throne
That grin no green with age
Instead glows gold from its edges
Ring that fits his nail-less finger wears no diamond
But a priceless love of his queenly belle
Belle of balls is she in her countryside
All that glitters is gold in his garden
Fruits on right and vegetables on left
Crops above and herbals below the bamboo built castle
A piece of land smells fresh and organic
He knows no chemicals that grows the plants
Yet for leaf litters and cowpats he depends upon
Grows for himself and offers the surplus
A penny earned saves his children from illiteracy
Never for once did he looked back
For he knows a man still can learn back at home
He know no pens that writes his story
The pains in itself is an endless epic of life
He wears neither silk nor does brocade his queen
A humble cloth serves all purpose of it
The hills above wears green necklace of wealth
The brook runs clean and fast
Gives no ailment but cleanses all
The birds still have its nest built next his home
They still calls season on time melodious and clear
The twist of the turn happens when
Scientist found gold and coal on his land
He is never happy that money would flow in his hand
With the roar of flying and walking metals
He fears his land would ooze blood in extract of its heart
He fears his cuckoos would fly away in fear
With chemicals and medicines reaching home
He fears his brooks and soil would get intoxicated
With sweet talks of big men now and then
He fears of losing his bamboo castle to strong metal builds
Big man turns deaf ear to his humble cries
The virginity of the land exploited at the click of a button
Bloodstained-lies his trees and plants for gold
He waves his pale hand to state saviors for rescue
But to no avail does curtain falls against his window of calls
In despair weeps his tears from a distant rock top
Looking at his native home turned up-side-down
He calls it the beast of humanity

That craves for gold and destroys his home.
