Festoon
everywhere; festooned with heart
The
valley filled with festive air
Men
and women in their best costume
Zeal
and enthusiasm kings all,
As
merits get coated in our soul
Ill
lucks whimper and evaporate dreading
Eight
manifestation of lord Padmasambava.
Kith
and kin in defective horse shoe
Enjoying
the Bhutanese cuisine,
“Now
a family gathering which was
Once
a community jamboree”
Cries
a lime headed man in his seventies.
Girls
in full bloom
Pathetic
boys paralyzed, dumb-struck
Charred
to charcoal not by the sun,
Heat
of beauty all around caused it.
Perplexed
to see Thinley known to all as Lelay
Getting
mad with lassie in her best,
It
proved someone is right of his words
“When
you quote a nice girl, an hour seems like
A
second; when you sit on a red hot cinder,
A
second seems like an hour”
Everyone
couldn’t resist nodding to my words.
As
golden sphere gets clutched amidst lips of
Horizon,
we saw ourselves in queue as ants
Moving
with same pace to home
Boomed
with merits and smiles,
Euphoric
atmosphere left only a wisp
When
the sun kiss the distant lawn.
Seven
days of wonder;
Indeed
a week long festive month
Of dear gorgeous October
